Eumetis (Εὔμητις) combines the Greek eu (good) and mētis (counsel, wisdom) — "good counsel." Daughter of Cleobulus of Lindos, one of the Seven Sages of Greece — Eumetis (also called Cleobulina) was renowned for her riddles, often discussed in Plutarch's Banquet of the Seven Sages.
