Pantea (پانتهآ) is the Old Persian name from pant (powerful) and the feminine ending. Pantea Arteshbod (6th c. BCE) was the legendary Persian warrior general — commander of the Achaemenid Immortals (the elite imperial guard) under Cyrus the Great.
She is one of the earliest documented women generals in history.
