Salacia is from the Latin Salācia (from sal — salt) — Roman goddess of the deep salt sea. Salacia is the Roman counterpart to Greek Amphitrite, wife of Neptune. Her myth: Neptune sent a dolphin to woo her, and the dolphin was placed among the stars as the constellation Delphinus. Mother of Triton. Appears in Virgil's Aeneid and Ovid's Metamorphoses. The dwarf planet 120347 Salacia (discovered 2004 in the Kuiper Belt) is named in her honor — one of the largest known trans-Neptunian objects.
Salacia does not currently appear in the US Social Security Administration's top 1,000 girls' names, so we don't publish a US rank or birth count for it. That says nothing about the name's standing elsewhere in the world — only that it sits outside the ranked US data we rely on.

In Pythagorean numerology the letters of Salacia reduce to 1, The Leader. This is a traditional interpretive system, not a factual claim about the name.
